Who can participate in the Baldy Eagle Reading Club?
All students in Kindergarten and 1st Grade are able to participate. All students will celebrate their achievement by attending the Baldy Eagle Club Picnic on May 26, 2010 (please make note of the change of date).
How do we participate?
Students and their parents are to keep track of the books they read by recording the titles on the Baldy Eagle Reading log, having a parent sign the log, and then turning them in to their teacher.
Parents may help kindergarteners fill out the forms. 1st Graders are encouraged to fill out the forms themselves as soon as they can.

What books can we read?
-
The books read or listened to may come from any source and be read in any language, but may not be repeated on the same form or handed in within the same month. If chapter books are read to the student, each chapter may be recorded on a separate line of the reading log.
- Books may be checked out by the student at their regular library class time, from the public library, or may be books you have at home.
Do the students earn awards?
Awards will be given at awards assemblies for reading the appropriate amount of books, completing the forms, and handing them in by the designated cutoff date. If a form is not turned in to the library by the cutoff date, it will be counted for the following month.
