Homework

Homework will be assigned as deemed necessary. I believe homework should 
support the acquisition of Language Arts standards, which can't get 
completed during school hours. Your child will be given a binder reminder, 
which they will be expected to use to record their assignments daily. I 
encourage you to ask your child on a regular basis to show you their binder 
reminder, so you can judge as to if they need additional help in monitoring 
their productivity. Often time independent reading or the writing process 
will be the required homework. 

Ongoing: 
1. Accelerated Reader: Nightly, you should be reading an AR book to 
improve comprehension. 

Monday: 
1. Take Home Task 14 Spelling Packet is due Wednesday. 


2. Writing assignment must be written in your Discovering Non-fiction 
journal. 
Class 2/3 Topic: None
Class 4 Topic: None

3. Vocabulary: bio- homemade vocab sorts (flashcards) for all 10 
words. Due Tuesday. antibiotic, autobiography, biography, biologist, biology, 
biopsy, biosphere, macrobiotic diet, neurobiology, symbiosis 

Tuesday: 
1. Grammar - none

Wednesday:
1. Take Home Task 14 due today.   

Thursday:
1. Writing assignment is due today - none.
2. All tests will be given today.

Friday:
1.   

If your homework is incomplete or not turned in on time, you will receive a 
number.
