Current semester grades will be posted 12/18/09. No work may be turned in 
after this date unless the student was absent (excused) or on independent 
study (excused).

Second Semester Essential Assignments Include:
*Chapter Tests for Point of View, Prose and Poetry, Literary Criticism and 
Informational Documents.
Parts of a Sentence, Punctuation, and Capitalization Grammar Tests
Persuasive and Fictional Narrative Essay
*Accelerated Reader

*English 7 Strategic Reading has only the starred items for essential 
assignments

Grading Percentages for English 7 and Advanced:
25% Process (homework, quizzes, classwork and participation)
25% Chapter Reading Tests
25% Essays
15% Grammar Tests
10% Accelerated Reader Quiz and Project

*Grading Percentages for Strategic Reading:
50% Process
40% Chapter Reading Tests
10% Accelerated Reader Quiz and Project

Late homework may be turned in for 50% of the original grade earned.  It must
be turned in before the end of the semester.
