I come to Douglass after teaching Algebra and Pre-Algebra in the Elk Grove
Unified School District and in summer school at Davis High School. 2008-
2009 is my first year teaching at Douglass.
Math was always my favorite subject from elementary school through high
school and the beginning of college. At Grinnell College in Iowa I was
inspired to major in Anthropology, and later decided to teach math and got
my math teaching credential at Sac State.
When I am not teaching or preparing for my classes, I enjoy training and
racing triathlons. I am currently training for my second "full" distance
race; 1.2-mile swim, 112-mile bike, followed by a marathon (26.2 miles).
I'm looking forward to being able to run on my injured toe and return to
full-strength training.
I feel fortunate to be at such a great school and am excited for this year.
