Week of 11/16-11/20
Monday- Begin writing your poem/song using what you know about your family of
elements.
Practice combining the following atoms in the correct, stable ratio and name
it, as we did in class today. Also,determine if it's an ionic or molecular
compound.
Use Ch. 5 notes or the textbook to help you. Also, there is a "guidelines to
writing ionic compounds" under handouts.
Oxygen and Lithium
Sodium and Iodine
Copper (II) and Fluorine
Hydrogen and Oxygen
Carbon and Hydrogen
Tuesday- Finish writing your poem or song. You should be ready to begin
recording tomorrow.
Wednesday- Prepare for a small quiz on combining atoms, naming and identifying
compounds tomorrow by reviewing Ch. 5 and other appropriate assignments.
Thursday- The mp3 of your poem/song and all paperwork is due within the first
15 minutes of class tomorrow.
Friday- No homework. Have a great break!
