Week of 11/02-11/06
Monday- Reading notes and section assessment for Ch. 5 sec. 4. Do a "grade
check". If you don't have the proper sheet then just use a piece of binder
paper.
Tuesday- Find the densities (in grams/cubic centimeter) for the 7 elements in
today's lab (C, Cu, Al, Mg, I, S, Fe) and record them in your data table.
Important Elements Quiz on Friday. Study the appropriate (listed
in class) elements and learn: name and symbol, solid / liquid/ gas, metal /
nonmetal / metalloid, special group name
Ca, He, Zr, Pt, Be, Ra, Cs, Pb, V, Cr, Mn, Xe, As, I, Ag, Cu, Au, Hg, Pu, W,
S, Al, U, Si, Na, Cl, H, F, Mg, C, P, N, Ar, O, Fe, K
Wednesday- Complete the Ch. 4 Review and Assessment #1-27 (pg. 165-166) and the
Standards Practice #1-8 on pg. 167 on a piece of binder paper. You do not
need to rewrite the questions. THIS IS NOT DUE UNTIL TUESDAY, NOV. 10.
Thursday- Important Elements Quiz tomorrow in class (40 pts) Study flashcards
and Mind Munchies # 30-33
Friday- No New Homework. Ch. 4 Review and Assessment AND Standards Practice
due on TUESDAY, NOV. 10.
