We know we're a few days late on this, but we've FINALLY posted the 5 Finalists for our Best Website contest on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/TeacherWebInc. You have from now until midnight next Wednesday, May 22nd, to vote on your favorite. The winner will receive a free year of TeacherWeb, and the 4 runners-up will get $15 Starbucks giftcards, so vote wisely! The Finalists' websites are posted in their own photo album on our Facebook page, so check those out first, visit the sites, click around, then come back and vote via our poll. Thanks for your participation - we were amazed by all the entries and fantastic websites that we got to review, and if you didn't end up in the Top 5, know that it's because there are so many stellar educators out there using our products to reach their students and families that it was almost impossible for us to choose. Announcements small medium large There is an extra credit assignment available for Quarter 4, and it is "E.T.-Make your own extra terrestrial" . It is the assignment that we started in class on Friday, April 5. Copies are available in Mr. Weitz's classroom. Another opportunity can be created by YOU! Follow your interests and run your own experiments or do your own research on topics we have studied this year and document your experience in anyway you want. You could also go visit museum exhibits, or find science learning opportunities when you are on vacation. There are a lot of physical concepts/principles illustrated at amusement parks! How much extra credit you would earn, would depend on WHAT you decide to do, HOW WELL you relate to science, and HOW you choose to present it to me (anywhere from 1 to 10 points) Have fun! YOU'VE GOT NOTHING TO LOSE! YOU MAY ONLY GET CREDIT FOR ONE OF THE ABOVE OPPORTUNITIES, so pick one that interests you. All extra credit must be turned in before the last week of the quarter for which it is to be counted. For Quarter 3, that means it would be due by 05/31/13.
