My name is Greg Davies. I grew up in the Evergreen State, and attended
Washington State University,
where I graduated with a biology and chemistry degree (Go Cougs!). I
recently completed a Master's
program in science education. Over the past thirteen years, I have taught
6th, 7th, and 8th grade
science. I have three children (Noah, Michael, and Samantha) and a lab
retriever named Tahoe. My wife
is also a teacher. When I am not at Egan, I enjoy skiing, running, and going
to the beach.
I want students to realize the power of science and how any scientific
field of study can be applied to
everyday life. Science should not just be learned from textbooks. It must
be lived. This can be
achieved through experiences in the classroom, the Internet, and application
of scienctific principles
through projects such as the Science O' Rama.
