My Dear Parents and Students:

CONGRATULATIONS to ME!! I finally have my web page up and working. ( hope.)

So far this trimester my students have finished chapters 1 and 3 and we will be working on chapter 4 this week.

We are in the Middle East studying the origins of Islam and learning about the life of Muhammed and the spread of Islam.

Assignments:

All students have completed and presented their "Mini-Me Museum".

They have written a short historical account of their life entitled, "My History".

The major assignment that is due on Thursday, October 1, is the Camel Diary. Students have information sheets describing the assignment. I do want a colored cover page, preferably of the camel. The diary should consist of a minimum of four entries. Each entry should be descriptive and at least a half page or more. I would prefer it to be typed. For extra points, the student may travel through Petra on the journey. I will show them the video of me and my group traveling through Petra this summer. Yes, I am riding a camel as well.

I am thoroughly enjoying this class and each of your students. I have a passion for learning history from all my travels and have much to share.
