About The Teacher
This is my sixth year at Eich teaching physical education and coaching, and my eighth year as a teacher/coach. I began my teaching career in San Jose at Peter Burnett Academy, and then came to Eich after moving to the area. I graduated from Chico State with my BA in physical education in 1998, and earned my MA in exercise physiology from Chico in 2002. I am married and have a beautiful 2 year old girl, another little girls on the way, and two dogs. I also own All*Sports Perfomance Training, which is a sports/fitness training business that specializes in sport specific strength & conditioning training for young athletes, as well as personal training for all ages.

Mission
The United States is currently experiencing an epidemic of obesity in school aged children. Therefore, my mission as a physical education teacher is to teach my students how to live a healthy physically active lifestyle for life. Throughout the year my students will learn the basics of strength and cardiovascular fitness training, as well as how to implement a fitness program into their lives. My students will also learn a variety of games/sports thatmay be played outside of school. My goals in our sports units are for the students to learn various strategies, be physically active, and learn how to work together with others toward a common goal.
