Dear Families,

 

I hope everyone had an enjoyable time off-track.  Now we are ready for our last two months of kindergarten.  Here are some May highlights:

 

In reading/language arts, we are working on our “Teamwork” unit and “By the Sea”.

 

In math, we are focusing on measurement, classifying, and sorting.

 

In social studies, we are working on “Stories of the Past”.

 

In science, we are focusing on Physical Science with units on “Matter” and “Water”.

 

 

MARK YOUR CALENDAR

 

Friday, May 24^th- EARLY SCHEDULE for kindergarten students so that we can be at a special rally where Mr. Jackson and Mrs. Jenkins will be made into “Nachos Grande”.  All kindergarten students are on the early schedule, 7:40 – 11:11 a.m.  The kindergarten gate opens at 7:30 a.m.

 

Monday, May 27^th- NO SCHOOL for Memorial Day!

 

Thursday, May 30^th- Track Change Day!  All kindergarten students are on the early schedule, 7:40 – 11:11 a.m.  The kindergarten gate opens at 7:30 a.m. 

 

Wednesday, June 5^th-  Open House Night, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.  Be ready for your child to show you around the classroom!

 

Monday, June 17^th – Thursday, June 27^th:  We have so many exciting activities planned for the last two weeks of school that all kindergarten students are on the early schedule for the last two weeks of school, 7:40 – 11:11 a.m. 

 

Wednesday, June 26^th- Kindergarten Promotion Ceremony at 10:00 a.m. in the multi-purpose room.  Everyone is welcome to attend!
