How do we know when there is a fieldtrip and how much it is?
Fieldtrip information along with a permission slip will be in all
students'
homework folder at least 1 week in advance of a fieldtrip. ALL permission slips and donations
are due the day before a fieldtrip. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Notification of
need of a lunch will be included as well.
The fieldtrips will be posted on the website.
When is my child's library day?
Mrs. Gulden's class' library day is always on Thursdays!!
What should I work on with my child while he/she is off track?
While your child is offtrack, there will be an off track packet
sent home.
This packet of work is NOT mandatory and is for practice purposes
only. The
best thing that you can do for your child daily is to read with
your child
and/or have them read to you. Other added ideas include daily
journal
writing, practicing addition and subtraction facts, and taking
walks around
the neighborhood (Science).
Where is the LOST AND FOUND?

check it periodically for lost and missing items!
On Track Change Day, when do the students get out of school?

Days!
What changed with the report cards this year?
In 1st grade, report cards are graded with

grading criteria handed out at Back To School Night.
Please see your child's teacher for a copy if you did
not receive one.
Why do the students have tie dye tee shirts?
The tee shirts are for the students to wear
on field trip days. This is a fun way to allow for easy
recognition
by students, teachers, and parents on the fieldtrip.
Tell me about the different PICTURE DAYS at Donner!
In the fall, Lifetouch, will take a photo of ALL
Donner students. An envelope is provided so that
parents may purchase a photo package. If the photos
are disliked by the parent, picture re-takes are
an option and available in about a month after photos
are given out.
In the spring, photos are taken and students
are given the photos to take home to preview.
Parents may choose to keep the photos and send
money in or they may simply send back the photos.
Why is there a Recess Recovery?
Recess Recovery is provided to students who need to finish
classwork and/or
homework.
