Spelling activities can be done on plain paper or any of the pages that you
can print below.
1) Rainbow writing- Using crayons, markers, or colored pencils, spelling
words are written 3 times each. Change colors with each time written.
2)abc order - Write spelling words in alphabetical order
3)syllable sort - Write spelling words in lists according to how many
syllables are in each word. ( EX: all three syllable words will be grouped
together)
4)sentences - Use each spelling word in a sentence. Underline the spelling
word used.
5) vowel/consonant count - write each word and count and write the number of
vowels (a,e,i,o,u) and count the number of consonants
(b,c,d,f,g,h,j,k,l,m,n,p,q,r,s,t,v,w,x,y,z)
6) practice test - Have an adult ask the spelling words while student writes
them down.
