Have these things at orientation or on the first day of school:

index cards - 3 x 5, and 5 x 8 for English, geography, and science |
|
|
|
|
colored pencils or crayons (not markers) |
|
|
|
|
pencils and erasers |
|
|
|
|
black or dark blue pens |
|
|
|
|
notebook paper and graph paper |
|
|
|
|
a binder, with dividers to keep all your work in |
|
|
|
|
a place to keep homework assignments |
|
|
|
|
a place to keep work finished and ready to turn in |
|
|
|
|
ocassionally you'll need glue and scissors so keep in your cubbie |
|
|
|
|
a container of wipes to share with the class |
|
|
|
|
a book end or two if you want to hold your books upright in your cubbie |
|
|
|
|
book covers, not stretchy or sticky. Use paper! Books must always be covered. |
|
|
|
|
1 spiral notebook or composition book for English notes |
|
|
|
|
2 boxes tissue to share with the class |
|
|
|
|
markers |

1 inch binder for science |
|
|
|
|
large spiral notebook for science |
|
|
|

2 thin sharpies |

rular, compass, protractor |

NIV Bible, with concordance |
