View of the Room This is a view of the room as you come in the door. Our dragon poster and place value chart are over the whiteboard. The green and yellow pocket chart is used for sorting spelling words. The blue bulletin board is where I post student art. |
Jobs Chart This year I'm back to using a pocket system for jobs. I printed the labels for free from the ABCTeach.com website. The students rotate through the jobs each week, so each student does every job at least twice in the year. |

Math & Science Bulletin Board This bulletin board reflects whatever unit we're working on. Right now it's Rocks and Minerals in Science and Multiplication in Math. The blank chartlet on the Science side is laminated so students can write "I Wonder" science questions on it. We investigate to find the answers together. |
Maps Bulletin Board This board changes throughout the year, depending on what we're learning in social studies. Later it will have a map of the California regions and even later, a map of California missions. I laminate the maps so we can use them to write on and wipe off when we're learning about latitude and longitude and when we're marking locations. |

Library Photos I have my classroom library sorted by genre into tubs and placed on bookshelves. They are the plastic tubs you can buy for $1.00 each. I bought genre labels from Demco and the students labeled the books and the tubs. This way, each student can tell exactly which tub the books belong in when they're done reading them. |

|
Accelerated Reader Tubs I keep Accelerated Reader tubs on another bookshelf, with each tub labeled with the color of the level. Each book is labeled with a matching color label. |
Welcome Door Here's the bulletin board I put on our door at the beginning of the year. Each student got to take their photo and camera frame home after Back to School Night. |
