Our homecoming parade and fall party went smoothly. Thanks to all the parents who sent in treats; the Carpenters, the Tottons, the Jones family, and the Plechaty family. Thanks to Mrs. Borges for walking with our class to the parade. Also, thank you to all the parents who have sent in tissues, paper towels, hand sanitizer, and baby wipes. We’re all stocked up again.

We just finished our Native American reports and they turned out nicely. Next up is an Element Report. Your child will report on the element with the number that matches his or her student number. For example, Student # 1 will report on Hydrogen, which has the atomic # 1. (Big smile to the Bettencourts!) :-))

We’re starting Theme 3 in our Language Arts which is called “Voices of the Revolution.” It goes along nicely with the literature book we’re reading in class. We’ll be learning about Paul Revere and life in the colonies. We’ll skip ahead in Social Studies to the Revolutionary War, so you may be hearing about it for the next few weeks!

Don’t forget that November 11, Veteran’s Day, there is no school.
