Dear Parents,
Next week is parent and teacher conference week. You should have received a paper with your appointment time on it. I look forward to seeing you all.
The students do not have homework next week, or the week of the Thanksgiving holiday. They should still read each day. Reading magazines online is fine. Here is a link to Time for Kids, sponsored by our reading curriculum, Houghton Mifflin. Its feature article is all about Tony Hawk, skateboarding legend. Did you know that a bird named the club-winged manakin can sing with its wings instead of its throat? Click on National Geographic for Kids to find out all about it. The celebrations of Native American Heritage month are covered in the Weekly Reader.
