Dear Parents,
This next week is our last week before break. Here is what is happening.
December 9 Classroom Spelling Bee. Adolfo Figueroa is the winner and Ramon Martinez is the runner-up! Congratulations to them!
December 16 Schoolwide Spelling Bee 1:00 p.m.
December 18 Assembly 9:15 a.m. and minimum day. Our classroom party will be from 11:30 to 12:00. Since we can’t have treats before lunch, we’ll play games, then bring lunch back to the classroom and have treats for dessert. If you would like to send some holiday cookies, that would be great!
Winter break until January 4, 2010.
Students should still read each day while on break. Reading magazines online is fine. Here is a link to Time for Kids, sponsored by our reading curriculum, Houghton Mifflin. Click on National Geographic for Kids to find out all about other places and animals in the world. Read about current events in the Weekly Reader.
