This will be my eighth year as a teacher at Esparto Elementary School, and I'm
back in 5th grade. I'm looking forward to another year with this lovely, warm
community.
I will do my best to provide an interesting, stimulating, fun, and
academically challenging year for your child. All of the students bring
individual talents and abilities to class, and I hope to maximize their
potential by bringing out the best in each of them.
I hold a California Multiple Subject Clear Credential with CLAD certification
as well as a Master's Degree in Teaching. Basically, that means I am highly
qualified per the NCLB, (No Child Left Behind). Most importantly, I love
children, and I love teaching.
When I'm not teaching, I'm writing, reading, cooking, swimming, knitting,
doing things on the computer, or just having fun with my family and friends.
Please feel free to email, call or come by the classroom anytime. But be
warned; if you come to the class, I might put you to work!
The best thing an educator can do is light a spark that will turn a child
into a lifelong learner who will pursue his or her highest goals. Excellent
reading skills are the foundation for continued learning and academic
success, therefore, I strive to help all the children in my class become
successful readers. By working as a team with parents and families, we can
help each child achieve their best. Thank you for all your support.
