CAMP 2017 INFORMATION

This year we will be camping at Plumas-Eureka State Park. Our camp trip will
be held Monday-Wednesday, June 5-7. (The last week of school.)

Help!!!! We need 20 parents to volunteer to be a chaperone for our camp trip
to work. You will be
placed with another adult, and 6-8 students. You will have a wonderful time
with your child and their
friends as we celebrate the end of our school year. For camp, we need a
donation that works out to
about $45 per student - less after we see what is made at the rummage sale.

In the weeks prior to camp, students will be learning about nutrition and a
balanced diet. They will
work in their camp groups to create 5 balanced meals with a budget of $13 per
student. (If a camp
group has 7 students and 3 chaperones, they will get $130 to spend). Next we
will visit a local
grocery store and price our meals. The morning we leave for camp, we will
purchase our food and
put it in ice chests. We will be able to use parent help during our camp
planning times. Planning
session times will be announced at the beginning of next week. Even if you
are not going to camp to
chaperone, we could use some adult helpers during planning sessions.
