About The Teacher Label:
About The Teacher
My name is Mr. Sanders. This is my fifteenth year at Fenton Avenue Charter School, my eleventh year teaching fourth grade, and my eighth year as lead teacher. I was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, and I currently live in the Santa Clarita Valley. I graduated from Van Nuys High School, Mission College in Sylmar, CSU Dominquez Hills in Carson, and I received my teaching credential from CSU Northridge. I received a Master's Degree in Education with a focus on Integrating Technology in the classroom through Walden University. I have a great family: Anne my wife and two children, Michelle 24, and my son Matt 19.
Mission Label:
Mission
My mission is to create a safe and fun classroom atmosphere. Respect and hard work guide my students and me. I want students to develop a positive “I think I Can” attitude and become self-motivated learners. I use creative lessons and best practices so students enjoy learning. Students that enjoy the hard work of learning become lifelong learners.
