Our Guest Speaker Cherry Teeter As an extension activity after reading our story "Rugby & Rosie" from our Open Court unit on friendship, our A track students enjoyed listening to a very special guest speaker from the Guide Dogs of America in Sylmar, CA. |

The Important Guide Dog Harness Mrs. Teeter explained how the guide dog harness, a very important piece of equipment, is used by the guide dog's non- sighted owner. |
Meet Laddie! Laddie was very well behaved, and followed all of Mrs. Teeter's instructions when given various commands to perform. |

Laddie Greeting our Students Our students got a chance to ask if they could pet Laddie at the end of the presentation. We will be working hard to collect pennies for our Pennies for Puppies Project. All of our donations will go towards purchasing supplies for the guide dog puppies such as play toys and grooming items. Mrs. Teeter will be returning in the near future to collect all of our A track classes donations. |
Class Field Trip to Dodger Stadium The class took time out from their tour of Dodger Stadium to pose for a class picture. What a special day for the third graders! Fenton students were the only kids there as all of the district schools were on Spring Break. |

|
Take Me Out to the Ballgame! On our April field trip, our third grade classes got a chance to see Dodger Stadium up close up and personal. This was a real treat for some of the students, as this was their first time visiting Dodger Stadium! |
The Great Jackie Robinson Students were excited to see the retired jersey of Jackie Robinson, who when he played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, was number 42. The class was quick to make a real world connection to our Open Court story "Teammates".
