When I was a little girl, after school and on weekends I would invite my
friends over to play school with me. I was always the teacher! At the age
of 13, I got my first tutoring job, so I guess in a way I was still playing
school. Throughout the years not much changed except the fact that my wages
did increase. And here I am today at the age of 38,
beginning my 16th year of teaching, and living out my dream of becoming a
professional teacher, having a classroom of my very own. Ever since I can
remember I knew I wanted to be an elementary school teacher
and I never wavered in my decision. Every year I spend in this field
reinforces my firm belief that I have the potential to affect my student’s
lives, and them mine. My primary goal as a teacher is to help children
develop a positive attitude toward school and learning and how always doing
your best is a reward in itself.
I grew up here in Fullerton and actually attended Fern Drive in the
kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade. I felt so blessed with the opportunity to
return so many years later as a teacher. I truly believe that there is no
other career anywhere that gives you more of an opportunity to be a part of
so many precious little lives!! Thank you for letting me be a part of your
child’s life.

Some very important facts about me.
#1 I am a Cat Freak!
#2 I am a Vegetarian!
#3 I am a huge Angels Fan!
#4 I am always cold, so I love the Sun!
#5 American Idol Rocks!!!

Room #11’s theme this year will be HOLLYWOOD.

     Our theme statement is...
 Ambition+Commitment = SUCCESS
       LIGHTS CAMERA ACTION
To have Ambition means you have a strong desire and drive to accomplish what ever you set out to
achieve. Ambition plus Commitment (not giving up no matter what the circumstances) equals
Success! My goal is to teach my students that this applies to everything we do in class and life in
general. Whether it is class work, homework,
behavior, making friends, playing on the playground, or
simply walking in line, I will encourage my boys and girls to always do their
best! We will also be focusing in on 10 character traits this year that
will guide us into becoming a class full of OSCAR WINNING students!. We want to be the
class that sets the example for other classes to follow!
