Dear Parents,

 

I still need 2-3 parents that would like to fill 75 water balloons. Thank you for your help and support!!!

 

Library: ALL library books MUST be returned by Friday, May 24th. Please remember to turn in your library books!

 

Spelling: The spelling focus this week arepluralwords that change they to an iand–es.

 

Language Arts: We are reading a story called Moses Goes to a Concert by Isaac Millman. It is a realistic fiction story about a boy named Moses and his classmates that are deaf. They attend a concert and the percussionist is also deaf. For grammar, we will be learning adjectives including a, an, and the. 

 

      Vocabulary: deaf, vibration, signs, percussion, instruments, hearing

 

      High Frequency Words: heart, mind, alphabet

 

Math: We are working with place value and three digit numbers. We will be adding and subtracting three digit numbers with and without REGROUPING.

 

Social Studies: We are on our last unit on producers, consumers, goods, and services. We are reading from Unit 5 in our social studies unit.

 

Science: We are on our last unit on plants and their life cycles. We are reading and learning from Chapter 1 in our science books. We planted red kidney beans in clear plastic cups. We will watch them sprout and grow during the plant life cycle!
