Dear Parents, We made delicious lemonade in class following our recipe. A special thanks to the Bryant family for bringing lemons from their tree. Field Day is this Wednesday. If you are a volunteer, please make sure you are here by 8:45. I will also need all water balloons dropped off by 8:45. Thank you parents! The Kindergarten Picnic is this Thursday!! Please have your child come to school dressed in their yellow Kindergarten shirt and jean bottoms (shorts, skirt, or jeans.) After chapel, we will have snack and then head over to the park. Please meet me in the classroom by 9:45. You will have to drive your child to the park. I will give you driving directions to the park once you get here. The children will be dismissed directly from the park. They do not have to bring their backpacks to school! The Kindergarteners will be performing a song for their big buddies during the 5th grade graduation scheduled on June 6th at 9:30. The song will be in the first part of the ceremony. The children need to come to school dressed in their Sunday dress up clothes. They should also bring their uniform in their backpack so that they may change afterwards. Kindergarten parents are welcome to attend the graduation. *Green journals went home today. There are many pages left for your child to continue practicing their writing. I suggest giving them a sentence starter such as The best day at school was when... or My favorite subject is ________ because_____________. Let them write without worrying about spelling. The journals are for them to keep. Happy writing! *The sight word box went home Thursday. Please have your child practice reading all their sight words. The complete list is on the sight words section on the website. The box does not need to be returned to me.
