· Due to the short week and field trip, there is no Spelling this week.Lesson 30 is the last lesson we will be doing this year. The students will be responsible for Writer’s Workshop.
· The students will have a vocabulary quiz on chapters 9-12 this Tuesday.
· Tomorrow is career day. The students may come to school dressed as what they would like to be when they grow up. Make sure the shoes are appropriate for PE.
· Due to Memorial Day, there is no school this Friday and next Monday.
· The students will have a Social Studies test Thursday, May 31. Study guides will be sent home later this week.
· There will be one more Math test on Chapter 10 on MONDAY, June 4. The test will consist of lessons 1-6 for chapter 10.
· The Science CH 3 test is this Wednesday.
· The students also have a grammar quiz Wednesday on nouns and pronouns.
· There will be a grammar quiz on adjectives, adverbs, and verbs Friday, June 1.
· The students will be attending the ‘Round the Horn experience at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point on Thursday, May 24. We will be leaving schoolat 6:45in order to make it there on time. All students need to bring a sack lunch with their names clearly printed on the bag. All students and parents involved must wear long pants and closed toe shoes. The students are to wear a school uniform top, but they may wear long jeans or school pants on the bottom. The program asks that no jewelry is to be worn. There are no cameras, games, toys, electronics, or sunglasses allowed on the boat. One camera may be brought by one chaperone. Parents, they ask for NO CELL PHONES on the ship. The students do not need to bring any money, as there is not enough time to visit the shop.
