Your child should be doing minimum of 10  minutes of reading per night.

When my child is sick when is the homework due?

Homework that has been taken home on Monday is due on Friday. If the child 
is 
absent on Monday and parent comes to school to obtain homework that 
homework  
will be due on that Friday of that week. If child does not get homework on 
Monday and returns on Tues., Wed., Thurs., the homework is due the 
following  
Tues., Wed., or Thurs., but that week's homework (of the week they have 
returned) is due on Friday.
If your child knows that he/she will be absent he/she may do the class work 
and turn in the homework before leaving.  If it is not done then they have 
one day to complete it on return.
