Garden Gate Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
Mission:
To enhance and enrich the school experience for all students by providing additional learning opportunities for both students and parents; by cultivating a nurturing and supportive atmosphere among all members of the school community including parents, teachers, staff members, and students; and by uniting in the effort to help all students to reach their full potential.
Goals (2009-10):
To successfully incorporate and train more people into our PTA network to lighten the load on everyone and ensure continued success as a triving PTA Unit.
Increase PTA membership by 10% over the last school year.
To educate our Garden Gate parental body about what the PTA is and how we operate.
California PTA
Mission:
To positively impact the lives of all children and families by representing our members and empowering and supporting them with skills in advocacy, leadership, and communication.
National PTA
Mission:
To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children;
To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
