When a child is absent for any reason, parents are to call the school office on the first and each successive day of absence. When is kindergarten registration?
Kindergarten registration begins in February for the following school year. For the 2008-09 school year, the registration period is February 4 14. We will continue to take registration after that period as families move into our attendance area. You must be living in our attendance area to register. How do I know what school my child should attend?
When you know the address where you will be moving, check the Cupertino Union School District website (see "Links"). The left side of the home page has a CUSD street locator. Click on this site and follow the directions. It will tell you the home school for that address. You are always welcome to call the local schools for attendance area information.Back to Top

What do I need to do to become a volunteer?
Volunteers are always welcome at Garden Gate. If you are interested in volunteering, contact your childs teacher. The PTA also needs volunteers. All volunteers must have a current TB Mantoux Test on file with the school.Back to Top
