English class -
All English student must bring their Outsiders book to school every day. Each night students must
reread and fully annotate what we started in class. Each page should be marked with a minimum of 2
- 3 annotations. Students have a gold sheet outlining the directions for annotations.

Many students have been requesting the opportunity to retake tests and quizzes. Students who
received a C+ or lower on a test or quiz may retake it if they follow this procedure:
1) Rewrite each item marked wrong on a separate piece of paper and staple the rewrites to the test or
quiz.
2) Study those words or grammar structures using the appropriate section of the textbook or with Ms.
McMillan.
3) Make an appointment with Ms. McMillan for the retake.
4) The final score will be the average of the original score and the retake score.
