WHAT’S NEW FROM GRADE 2
The last full week of school! It will be busy! Please make sure to return all library books and your child’s book bag by Wednesday. Check their backpack to make sure they have returned everything:-)
Friday we will be leaving right after flags for Kingsburg to the Berry Lady Farm. We will be walking around on a tour, and possibly picking berries. Your child should wear long pants and tennies because it may be dusty or dirty--it’s a working farm. We will return to school around lunch time, eat, then get ready for Water Baseball. This is an annual tradition in Second Grade. The main objective is to get wet (the baseball game is really not that important). Your child will need to bring a towel, sunscreen, swim suit or clothes that can get wet, and shoes that can get wet. One piece suits for girls. Some kids like to wear a shirt over their suit, but we will probably get grassy and a little muddy. Shoes can be flip flops, but old shoes that can get wet and muddy are the best. Your child can change into their dry farm clothes to go home or to Day Care. **Extra sunscreen would be nice, but should also be applied before we go to the farm since we will be outside. We usually are running around getting wet for about an hour or two.
Tests will be Thursday because of the field trip.
Monday is Memorial Day and a holiday.
