This Week in 2A ::
L.A. - We will be learning how to write a friendly letter and its important
components - Date,Greeting,Body,Closing and Signature. We will also practice
the Reading Strategy of 'Summarizing'. There will be no H.W. over the break :)
Class Read Aloud #2- 2A has started our second Read Aloud and this time our
Classic is 'Alice in Wonderland'. Students are already enthralled by the
story and we are also learning a lot of new vocabulary words which will
enhance our writing skills, InshaAllah.
Parents can also help by asking your children at home to summarize for you
the story that they read so far in class. Also ask them to predict what might
happen next.
Reading Project - I will be assigning a Reading project which will be
completed over a period
of 2 weeks. The students have a choice from 4 different books to choose from.
They will be given the Reading log for the 2 weeks and everyday they will
fill in the part for that day specifically. The book choices are as follows:
Students have made their choices and have their reading logs with them.
Please try to get them book. But if for some reason the book is not available
then students can inform me and change their selection on Monday. If you have
