Hello Grapeland Families! I want to extend my most sincere welcome to all of our Grizzlies.

Every Monday will be a minimum day and school will be dismissed at 1:15 p.m. Regular dismissal time, Tuesday through Friday, is 2:45 p.m.

Drop-off Procedures and Times -- When school begins on Monday, August 8th, students should arrive at school no earlier than 7:45 a.m. Each morning at 7:45 a.m. we will open the gate north of the office building. Students may proceed directly to the hard courts at this time. From 7:45 until 8:00 a.m., students must remain to the north side of the handball walls for supervision purposes. At 8:00 a.m., we will open additional gates and students may occupy any portion of the hard courts. At 8:13 a.m. when the school bell rings, students should find their classroom number painted on the hard court concrete and wait there until their teacher arrives.

Student Safety during Drop-off and Pick-up – Safety is always our first concern and we MUST work together to ensure safe passage. The yellow curb immediately in front of the school is the ONLY place students may exit your vehicle. School employees will guide you each morning and afternoon to assist you at these very busy and congested times of the day. Continue to move forward along the yellow curb until the line of cars has come to a complete stop before allowing your child to exit or enter your car. The school parking lot and the curb along Etiwanda Avenue are NOT safe or appropriate places to allow students to exit your car. Additionally, the red curb in the drop-off area is a “no stopping” zone.

Please allow for some extra time and bring your patience during this typically high traffic, and high student density time. NOTE – the bus turn around will be blocked off and is not a location for student drop-off or pick-up; however, it may be open for school events—Awards assemblies, etc.

Fundraiser Kick-off – Our annual fundraiser will begin in September. Your child will receive a fundraising packet and all of the needed information. The success of this fundraiser is very important in order to continue many of our PTA sponsored programs. Thank you for supporting these efforts!

Student Dress Code - Please become familiar with the dress code of the Etiwanda School District before purchasing new clothes for your child to wear to school. The complete dress code is available on the Etiwanda home page at the following address:

As always, I hope that the above information is helpful to start off another successful school year!
