Welcome to Grapeland Elementary, A California Distinguished School! Our vision statement is the driving force behind all that we do for students: "Grapeland Elementary School will be every child's favorite place to be." At Grapeland you will always find a professional and courteous staff that is willing to assist you and your child. There are many ways for parents to partner with Grapeland.

PTA, Watch DOGS and MOMS and classroom volunteering are great ways to get involved. Our PTA Board is an amazing group of parents who are dedicated to making Grapeland a great place for all kids. Please consider joining our PTA by becoming a member. For the last three years we have had 100% of our parents sign up as official members.

If you are looking for another great way to get involved, please consider becoming a Watch Dad or Watch Mom. We have opportunities before school and at dismissal time to be on patrol and assist staff in the parking lot and sidewalk areas. If interested in this volunteer opportunity stop by the office during normal business hours and get more information. It's quick and easy and you get a free t-shirt!

Message from the Principal

Greetings Grapeland Families,

I am honored to serve as the new principal of Grapeland Elementary. Grapeland has a reputation of academic excellence, and I am blessed to join a culture focused on student learning, a commitment to high expectations, and great community support. It is my intention to continue to champion these important values and uphold the traditions that have made Grapeland every child's favorite place to be!

I am aware of the anticipation and eagerness that accompanies new leadership; change can bring about anxiety for us all. Rest assured, it is my highest priority to get to know each student and their families, to listen attentively, and then work collaboratively with our staff and school community to provide the highest level of support for all.

Parents, teachers, support staff, and community members, each have an important role in encouraging and inspiring our children to become active, life-long learners equipped for the 21st century. To this end, it is my sincere desire to provide expanded opportunities for our students to acquire the necessary skills to become productive citizens both locally and globally. Our children deserve the very best support in this ever-changing world, and we all have the privilege to be part of making this happen. These are exciting times!

Thank you for supporting our PTA with your time and membership! I encourage you all to join and volunteer. There are many opportunities to get involved, both small and large, and your support is one of the best ways to serve our students directly.
