Heritage Day 2009, what an event!!! The oral presentations were absolutely amazing; the students showed great enthusiasm and sharp speaking skills while giving their speeches.  I was so proud of all my students with their caring comments and respect that they showed each presenter.  The students' posters/suitcases were carefully crafted and displayed many interesting photos, documents, and artifacts; the outfits…WOW, students' really dressed up! It was wonderful to see so many parents join us for the luncheon and/or come in the class to watch presentations.  The spread of cultural foods was mouth-watering!  The parents did an extraordinary job in setting up and decorating the MPR stage for the vast array of colorful and appetizing foods.  I THANK all the parents who contributed and helped before, during, and after the event. I realize that the coordination of this luncheon is a huge project, but everything turned out, from what I could see, flawless, again, this with great appreciation to all the parents. I thoroughly enjoyed the luncheon and I hope everyone who attended also had a great time. Well, Heritage Day may be over, but I still get the pleasure of reading the written reports! I am so proud of all my students and grateful to have such great kids to teach everyday, they continue to impress and inspire me each day.
