*Greentree is continuing the effort to go GREEN! Please bring in any empty,
crushed plastic and aluminum can or bottles to be recylced.
BOX TOPS
*Please continue to send in your Box Tops for Education. Each box top gives
back $.10 to our school. This is an easy fundraiser to participate in!
MOTHER/DAUGHTER TEA
The 5th grade Mother/Daughter Tea will be held on Thurday, Jan. 28 in the
library/Little Theater from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Invitations were sent home
Friday, Jan. 8. Please return RSVP's as soon as possible (no later than Jan.
21). Include a baby picture of your daughter with the RSVP. Please dress
nicely for this event. :-)
MUSIC
*The mid-winter concert will be on Friday, Jan. 29 in the Little Theater from
8:50-9:30 a.m. Girls shouold wear a blouse, dress or dress pants/skirt and
dress shoes. Boys should wear a shirt with collar, dress pants, and dress
shoes. PLEASE AVOID WEARING JEANS, SHORTS,T-SHIRTS, AND TENNIS SHOES.
Parents are invited to attend the concert.
WALK THROUGH THE REVOLUTION
*Information went home regarding this exciting fifth grade event. It will
take the place of one of our field trips as a half day presentation here at
school on Feb. 2. Parents are invited to attend. Please send in $15 CASH
ONLY by Friday, Jan. 22 to pay for this event. Students will be preparing
for WTR by "becoming" a character, learning a song, and practicing a skit
with their team.
STUDENT COUNCIL
*Help for Haiti--jars will be placed in each classroom to donate to the
relief effort. A goal of $1 per student has been set.
*Sports Day-the next theme day will be Sports Day. Please follow the dress
code (no cleats or sports equipment). Sports Day will be on Friday, Feb. 5.
*Valentine Grams will be sold at lunch for $.50 starting on Feb. 1st.
