MISSION STATEMENT
The Heritage Intermediate Staff will collaborate to ensure that all students learn at high levels and are prepared for success in the real world!

Heritage Intermediate is proud to continue their partnership with MIDDLE SCHOOL MATTERS for the 2016-17 school year. Our entire staff will continue to receive professional development on research-based instructional strategies and educational practices from nationally known researchers.

Creating a school climate less susceptible to harassment, bullying and violence is possible! At HIS, the RACHEL'S CHALLENGE program inspires and equips our students to create a permanent positive change not only in themselves, but in their schools and community. Our annual RACHEL'S CHALLENGE Assemblies will take place on August 25th. Please click on the link to see the time for each grade level assembly. Parents are invited to attend!! Our 2016-17 school year is off to a GREAT start!

On Monday, August 22nd we kicked off our FALL FUNDRAISER assemblies. This year's fundraiser is a little different than in past years. Students are encouraged to register on-line at StepItUpKids.com/HeritageHawks. Once your student is registered, they are encouraged to send out a minimum of 10 EMAILS to family, friends, neighbors, etc. The emails are asking recipients to make a donation to Heritage Intermediate. All donations will go towards funding new technology and our STEAM program at HIS!

All students are encouraged to send at least 10 emails on August 22nd, complete the "First Night Success Sheet", get a parent signature, and turn it in before school on Tuesday, August 23rd to the MPR stage. Students will win instant prizes and may possibly be the "Mystery Student" who wins a brand new Apple Watch!!

Students are also encouraged to turn in EMOJI COUPONS for the amount of donations collected on August 26, August 30, and September 2. Students will get to select an EMOJI KEYCHAIN for each coupon - collect all 12 keychains if you raise $360!

Our schoolwide goal is for each student to send a minimum of 10 emails and collect $200. Your child's on-line website will track their daily donations and there is not need to handle any money. Students can also collect donations (cash or check) in person from family friends, and neighbors. Each student was provided with a Pledge Sheet - additional copies can be printed by clicking on the link below.

All Heritage students who participate in this year's Fall Fundraiser will win lots of GREAT prizes! Click on the link below to see the prize sheet.
