Dear Parents & Students:
I would like to welcome all of you to my homework and classwork website. I
hope that this will be a useful tool for the upcoming new school year. I
will be teaching four 7th grade World History classes and one 8th grade US
History class this year.
I hope that this year will be successful and that you will be able to access
the information that is available for student use. I will be using 3 websites
during the school year. The first website will allow you access to daily
homework assignments, worksheets (that are on my computer), homework and
classwork information and instructions. This is the teacherweb.com website
you are on right now. I will also be able to let you know about future
projects and tests that will be up and coming on this site.
I also have a website that will be devoted to grades. This is the
WebGrade site. These grades will start after I get email addresses from
parents and students. I have the ability to send to two email addresses for
each student. Once the email addresses are uploaded, I will be able to send
this information to both addresses for each student. I will be passing out
an information sheet that will also have each student's individual password
and ID, as well as the website address (URL). Please keep this information
in a safe place and do not share with anyone without the permission of your
parent/guardian. This will happen after the first week of school and will be
up and running by the end of the third week of school. I will then be sending
weekly notification of grades and missing assignments. A question mark means
that I did not receive the assignment and therefore the grade was not posted.
Parents and students may then email me at this address. I do not really
check my LAUSD email on a regular basis. I do check this one regularly.
Both of these websites are important and will be tools for you to understand
your student’s grades and if there was a homework assignment. If you have a
block put on your websites please allow these two sites on your permitted
list. It is your job to make sure that you have given this site the proper
permission so that you can access
the information.
Finally, the last website will allow you to access the two websites above.
This is the Hale School website. Clicking on the link on the left that
says “School Website” can access this.
I hope that you will put this information to good use and I welcome you to my
family of students.
Sincerely,
B. Escalante
