* Write (or type) the Final Draft of your 5 paragraph expository essay. Be sure to have a clear thesis statement. Use the 'Thanksgiving' essay as your model. Due Wednesday / tomorrow. *Per 3/6 I still have a few essays, some of you left without picking them up, you can get them tomorrow and have them finished for Monday. MONDAY 11/23/09: * Complete the assertion / citation chart started & explained in class. It goes with the article on pg. 687 "Chinese Immigrants Remember Detention on Angel Island" in our Lit. book. * Write (or type) the Final Draft of your 5 paragraph expository essay. WEDNESDAY 11/18/09: * Complete the "Thanksgiving" Diagraming Questions. We went over the essay and discussed how to do the questions in class. TUESDAY 11/17/09: * Read, read, read! (for your book report - or read about the 'other' empires in Social Studies) * I think I have fixed the grade link problem! MONDAY 11/16/09: * Finish the Problem / Solution chart for the article "Daring to Dream" read in class. (5 problems / solutions + conclusion Q.) * Read for Book Report
THURSDAY 11/12/09: * Find a book for the Newspaper Book Report; directions were discussed in class. Paper will be available (if requested) as of Monday. Some samples will be posted soon on web site. Start reading! WEDNESDAY 11/11/09: * NO SCHOOL! TUESDAY 11/10/09: * Newspaper Book Report - Due December 9th - directions will be gone over in class on Thursday and samples will be shared and posted on web site after that. Paper will be available in class next week.

WEDNESDAY 11/4/09: * Color Poem; bring Final Draft to class to work on decorating - Final Draft, along with the Rough Draft & Observation Chart = Due Friday! WEB SITE FIXED! YAY!
