WEDNESDAY 11/18/09: * If you were absent or a 'Goober' and didn't complete you notes; get 'em done! Start planning for your groups presentation. Work on script / costume / props, whatever your group has assigned to you or needs to be done! TUESDAY 11/17/09: * Complete the reading for your assigned empire and take detailed notes (which will be checked!) Group Pow Wow on Mechanical diorama tomorrow. * Ch. 3 Vocabulary Flashcards. Here are the definitions for the terms not in the glossary:
surplus: an extra amount, more than is needed. barter: a system of trading in which people exchange goods or services directly, without the use of money. band: a small loosely organized group of hunter-gatherers; 20-30 individuals. hunter-gatherers: a person who gets food by hunting wild animals and gathering wild plants, roots, nuts, and berries. self-sufficient: able to provide for oneself without the help of others. * Comic Book - assigned by partners as needed - in class project DUE FRIDAY!!!
