HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
As we prepare for Winter Break, we would like to celebrate with a Multi-cultural Brunch during Advisory and First / Second Period on 18 December. We want students to bring in a traditional holiday treat to share. Treats should be cut as 'finger foods' so that we will not need to use silverware.
Please sign up for a holiday treat that you would like your child to share with classmates. We are having students write about a tradition that you celebrate each year. The treat may even be an important part of your tradition! In addition, we would like to have the recipe for the treat as well as the country of origin. Ultimately, we would like to create a book of traditions and recipes.
We are also going to have a 'Secret Santa' Exchange with a maximum price of $5 for the gift exchange. We will be exchanging names tomorrow.
Please, limit your treats to finger foods that don't require silverware.
Remember, this is brunch! Please label foods that may contain pork, cheese, peanut butter or nuts.
We will need a few volunteers to also sign up to bring juice/water, spoons, napkins, plates and cups in addition to their treats.
We would also like to take this time to sing songs, read poety or play an instrumental piece that is appropriate for the holiday season. If you want to participate, please sign up and bring the lyrics (at least 25 copies) of your song so we can all join in!
Your items may be brought to your child's Advisory before school begins on 18 December.
