How do I contact Mrs. Wexler?
Mrs. Wexler can be reached at 818.313.7400 or click on the
email link to the left to send her an email. When projects, book reports or
papres are due, you can AIM Mrs. Wexler at heymrswexler@aim.com
How can I get my homework if I am sick?
Check the website for homework, classwork, study guides and notes. If you are
sick, you will have a day for each day absent to turn in missed work. It is
your responsibility to arrange with Mrs. Wexler to take any tests missed due
to illness.
Do I have to read on weekends, too?
YES! You have to read for 20 minutes every day!
How do I catch up if I have missed school?
If you have been ill, or missed school for any reason, please
check in with me during lunch to catch up on all the materials
you've missed as well as take any make-up tests. This is your
responsibility and I am taking the time to reteach the material.
What do I do if I forgot to write down the homework?
Check under the homework link for your class on this website. The homework is
there.
What if I lost a handout?
ALL handouts that are given in class are also uploaded to this
site. There are no excuses. I try to make it easy on students
to have all the materials you need posted and available when
you need them.
Should vacations be planned during the school year?
NO! Vacations are not sick days. Missing school to go on vacation
is detrimental to your education. LAUSD has three weeks vacation
for winter break and a week vacation for spring break.
Summer vacation is ten weeks long. That's a lot of time to take
vacations!
Do you accept missing work?
There is no excuse for missing work. Mrs. Anderson and I will accept
missing work the first five weeks of school. You will only get half
credit, and missing work will not be accepted after three days.
NOT TURNING IN ASSIGNMENTS IS NOT AN OPTION!
What are NO EXCUSE assignments?
NO EXCUSE assignments are due the day the assignment is due. There is NO
EXCUSE. If you are ill that day, make sure your parent gets the assignment
into my mail box at Hale by 3:00. Or email it to me as an attachment (if you
are using the latest version of Word, please save it as an RTF), but I must
receive it by 3:00.
These assignments are usually given with at least four weeks of lead time
which gives you plenty of time to get the work done.
If I do not receive the assignment on the day it is due, it is an automatic
zero. There are NO EXCUSES.
