
Mrs. Wexler graduated from the University of Windsor in Windsor, Ontario,
Canada, with a BA in Humanities (Honours Drama). She received her Multiple
Subject (with CLAD) California Teaching Credential from California State
University Channel Islands. In June 2011, Mrs. Wexler received her Preliminary
Administrative Credential and Master's Degree (Cum Laude) in Education
Administration from California State University Northridge. In addition, she
completed her Single Subject Credential in English in 2011. Mrs. Wexler
received a Certificate in Teaching Gifted Students from UC San Diego in
January 2009.
Mrs. Wexler began teaching at Hale in 2004.
Married for over 27 years, Mrs. Wexler is the mother of 19-year-old twin boys.
They are both attending university. One is studying film at CSUN, and the
other is in a dual degree program (Bioengineering and a Business degree from
Wharton) at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Mrs. Wexler grew up in Canada, Europe and Asia and, in addition to attending
school in Canada, she was educated in France, Belgium and Japan. She was born
in London, England, of Canadian parents. Mrs. Wexler is fluent in French. An
immigrant, Mrs. Wexler became a U.S. citizen in 2001.
Prior to becoming a teacher, Mrs. Wexler was an award-winning magazine editor
and freelance journalist. She met her husband when they both worked for the
same publishing company in New York.
