This website will inform parents and students of our school activities as well as assist in organizing your home calendar. Refer to this web page often. We look forward to working with you this year and developing this website as a resource for our community.

Message from the Principal

Hello and welcome to Harbour View Elementary School. My name is Cindy Osterhout, the principal, and on behalf of our staff, it is a pleasure to greet you as partners in your child's educational experience. Harbour View is fortunate to have highly qualified professional and dedicated staff members who are truly committed to providing your child with the best education in a caring environment.

Harbour View is dedicated to meeting all learning needs for students. We offer our students a full academic program that encompasses Preppie Kindergarten through Fifth grade. In addition, we have full-time professional educators who teach and enhance learning in general music, physical education, and a wonderful library technichian who supervises and implements our morning “Homework Club” daily 8:00 – 8:25 a.m.

Parent support is vital to the growth of your children academically and otherwise. I strongly encourage you to help in any way whether through volunteering in the classroom to participating regularly in the PTA. Any contribution you can make is valuable and appreciated.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Preppie Kindergarten

As a result of increased enrollment, this year we will have a morning and afternoon Preppie Kindergarten class. The schedule is as follows:

AM Preppie: Monday - Friday 8:30 - 11:50

PM Preppie: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Friday 12:00 - 3:20
**"Wacky Wednesdays" 9:30 - 12:50

**On our "Wacky Wednesdays", which begin in October, there is an overlap of AM and PM classes. Students participate in enrichment programs during this time.

Mrs. Pat Sakaida will be teaching the morning session, and Mrs. Shannon Dominelli will be teaching the afternoon session. Both teachers will assist the other teacher for a portion of the day when their students are not in session. Parents will receive more information at the Kindergarten Round-up on Tuesday, September 6th. The AM Round-up is from 11:00-12:00 and the PM Round-up is from 1:00-2:00. We look forward to seeing you soon!
