takes many hands to help make our biggest fundraising event of the year
successful, so please let Lisa or Jenny know you'd like to help out!
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS! Be on the lookout for LEGO workshop info to come
home around Jan 8th-9th. Registration for LEGO is Wed. January 13 8 a.m. on
first come first serve basis in the office.
**COMMUNITY BUDGET MEETING** OVSD has scheduled another Budget 411 Meeting
in an effort to inform/update you on the next round of cuts coming. The
meeting is Tuesday, January 26, 6 p.m. at Mesa View Middle School in the gym.
A flyer should be coming home next week. PLEASE make every effort to attend,
OVSD officials will be there to answer your questions & address your concerns.
How great was GRANDPARENT'S & SPECIAL PERSON'S DAY?!... Really, really
GREAT!!! BIG THANKS to Barrie Meicht, Hospitality Chair & ALL of the
volunteers who helped make the stroll down "Memory Lane" so special! Also,
thanks to all the Grandparent's & Special People who came out to enjoy the
day with your special LITTLE peeps and then enjoy lunch at Islands after! The
Islands fundraiser was a great success for Harbour View, thank you for
supporting it!!
Speaking of that, look for Harbour View's LAZY DOG CAFE fundraiser coming in
February! Thanks to Tiffanie Rowsell for arrainging those, & for setting up
the Cherry On Top day we had before the break! Hmmm...she'd make a great PTA
President someday!! ;) (she's one of the 3 peeps who actually swing by to
READ this page!)
FALL BOOK FAIR was also a rousing success that week! (WOW busy week there!)
Thanks LOADS to Sarah Ouellette, Eva Wu, Erinn Simpkins and everyone who
worked shifts to help get books into kid's hands! Thank you for the endless
hours the Book Fair committee put in!!
****PLEASE RE-REGISTER YOUR RALPHS CLUB CARD FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR!****
Last quarter (Sept 1- Nov 30) Ralphs donated $825.34 to Harbour View, last
year same quarter the amount was over $1,500, so PLEASE if you do shop there
register you rewards card for the Community Contributions Program & let them
pay Harbour View for your shopping trips... Thank You!!
Ok I guess that does it for now! (until what, Spring Break when I get back on
here for the next update??...) I'll try to do better next time! :)
