My name is Donald Cook, but all my friends know me as Trey.
At the time of diagnosis (10/9/06), I was 11 years old, and in 6th grade. I
played percussion in the marching band, and also enjoyed attending events with
the high school band that my big sister is a member of. I played sports and
love video games. I guess I was a normal kid... Talk to Trey at CaringBridge

| | Alexis was diagnosed with acute myelogenic leukemia (AML) in February 2003.
For five months, Alexis endured and battled the leukemia. In July 2003, the
Pellicanes celebrated good news: the AML was in remission. But in February
2004, Alexis relapsed. “When the oncologist told her he had some bad news,
Alexis took away the burden of the words,” recalls her dad. “Yeah, yeah, I
know,” she said, “it came back. It’s okay. I’ll beat it again.” City of Hope - Alexis
