About The Teacher
CAROLE SUTTON, MA, MS, PPS TAMI Johnson, MA, PPS Mrs. Tami Johnson has worked as an English teacher, university instructor and middle school counselor for the past 16 years. Before coming to Hillsdale, Mrs. Johnson was the Academic Advisor for Point Loma Nazarene University’s graduate program. She has been married for 18 years and has three children: Jefree age 11, Catie age 8 and Juliana age 5. Also part of the family is her 5 year old desert tortes named Speedie and her Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Holly. When she has some free time, she is reading fiction, kayaking, and horseback riding. Mrs. Johnson is passionate about academic achievement and believes all students can be successful. “I am delighted to be here at Hillsdale. I am so impressed with the outstanding students we have at our school and our dedicated staff. This will be a great year!”

Mission
The mission of our School Counseling Department is to provide all students with a comprehensive, developmental guidance and counseling program, centered on engaging curriculum and services that encourage the highest level of achievement through student growth in academic, personal/social, and career competencies. As student advocates, school counselors partner with other educators, parents and community members to create a caring environment in which all students may become responsible learners and decision makers as they prepare for the future.
