May 13th-17th
I hope every mom was spoiled on Mother’s Day (I know I was!). You all deserve it! This week will be another busy one with sports banquets, student council elections, tests, and a school Mass. Make sure you’re checking our Webpages daily to get the important information you need.
REMINDERS: The varsity sports banquet will be held on Monday evening. Tuesday we have Technology Tuesday and student council speeches. Wednesday is a half-day due to a teacher in-service. On Thursday, students will have an opportunity to vote for next year’s student council members. Finally, on Friday, we have our annual May Crowning Mass at 10:00. Join us if you can!
HAVE A TERRIFIC WEEK!
This Week’s Agenda:
Literature: Students are masters at inferring information and finding the main idea of a selection, especially with all that reviewing we did last week! It’s now time to move on to Theme 5, which mainly focuses on author’s purpose and literary devices.
English: Roses are red, violets are blue, the poetry unit is done, and now you can say, “Phew!” J Once again, I’m impressed by my little poets and their creations. This week we will take a short break from writing and focus on grammar and mechanics.
Math: All I can say is, “Wow!” The students did AMAZING on their integer test last week. Keep up the good work! This week we will focus on graphing and the coordinate plane. *This Wednesday, students will be given a test by Mrs. Ali to see if they qualify for her advanced math class next year. Please know that this test is NOT a measure of how they have performed in math this year. It is merely an evaluation used to see if students are up to the challenge of her math class.
Religion: We will wrap-up Family Life this week. We will talk about how we are all a part of the world community and how God calls us to be stewards of the Earth.
