From the School Handbook:
Being on time is extremely important. It is an acknowledgment by both the
parent and the student of the importance of the initial organization that
takes place within each classroom. The faculty and staff ask that you take
seriously the obligation to be on time.
Students are late if they arrive after the 7:55 a.m. bell and must report to
the office for a tardy/admit slip before reporting to assembly or class.
After a student has been tardy 3 times in a trimester, a letter from the
Principal will be sent home to remind the parent of this situation. After a
student has been tardy 4 times, Saturday School (Tardy Party for student and
parent) will be assigned. Administration will notify the family by mail of
time and date.
If the student fails to appear on the assigned date and time, a one-day
suspension will occur during the week following the assigned Tardy Party.
The only exception will be illness or family emergency approved by the
Principal.
TARDY POLICY - JUNIOR HIGH (7th & 8th grades):
For 7th and 8th grade students, drop off can be as early as 7:30. Prior to
7:30 there is no supervision and your child will be escorted to extended
care. The supervised morning locker time is 7:45.
If a junior high student is in morning prayer line with a backpack (which
indicates they were late for supervised locker time), they will be marked
tardy (class begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. following morning prayer).
Three tardies result in a warning letter mailed home via the school office.
A fourth tardy results in a Tardy Party to be held on a designated Saturday.
Administration will notifiy the family by mail of time and date.
