Writing Links

So You Think You Know How To Write! Ha!

You must have meant cursive writing! A writer is always learning and one of
the links below is to help you understand what good writing looks like.

The other link is to help you write the "Six Traits" way!

We'll be using both of these links for several weeks, so you may want to make
a bookmark/favorite on your computer at home for these sites.

Learn More About Writing

There is ABSOLUTELY no better way to understand the 6+1 Trait Writing
analytical model than to USE it yourself. Everyone agrees, the more papers you
read, assess, and discuss the deeper and richer becomes your understanding of
the scoring guide and specifically of its components. It's simple and worth
every minute spent practicing.

Be fair with yourself! Do NOT look at the scores before you've given a score
and thought through why you gave it that score. Use your rubric for "IDEA"
and decide which desciptors match the paper. Then decide which parts of the
paper fit those descriptors.
