What's Happening

Dear Parents,
Parent conferences are now over and it is time to start the next chapter of our learning. I enjoyed meeting with each and everyone of you to discuss your child's progress toward proficiency. I have a great class with eager learners just waiting to absorb all the knowledge presented to them.  I hope you enjoyed your short vacation.  As I told most of you during conferences I will begin dedicated more time on grammar skills and writing conventions. Hopefully, this will push your child into the next level of writing. We have only 3 weeks before our bring winter break and lots of learning that needs to be done.
I have added new sections in my website that might assist you in keeping your child organized. The Planner lets you know what we are doing in class and what needs to be done at home.
The Math worksheets will help your child work on the skills they learned in class and practice at home.
 Thanks for all your help
Mrs. Del Pego

P.S. we have a sock drive going on in our school children are being asked to  bring in new socks to help the thousand of homeless people here in San Diego. Our goal is to collect 1500 socks, that’s just 2 pairs per student!

A parent volunteer will be coming to your classroom to collect the socks on a weekly basis. Sock collections will be happening on the following dates: Wednesday 12/9, Wednesday 12/16 and Friday 12/18.
