WELCOME BACK EVERYONE!  I hope you had a restful month and a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.  Can you believe that in a few weeks we have another holiday break?

We will be doing an art project on Friday, 12/4, and each student will need some gift wrap in holiday colors.  To make the project, each student needs eight 6" squares.  The squares must be carefully measured and cut, and it helps if the squares are cut ahead of time.  Any type of paper will work, and the squares can be from the same or different paper.

ARROW BOOK order due Friday, 12/4.

MATH - Exponent (Lesson 4-10) test on Thursday

SPELLING - Lesson 3-1  Activity 2

WORDLY WISE - Lesson 1 packet due Thursday    NOTE: Not all students are in this group.

READING - TFK #8, 9, 10 &11 - students should be reading all four issues.  Each student has been given a worksheet to complete for one of the issues.  The worksheet is due Thurs., 12/3.

WRITING - Family Holiday Tradition essay due Dec. 11.  Students were given a handout explaining this assignment.  The first draft was started in class on Tuesday, 12/1, and should be completed by Friday, 12/4.

HERITAGE ALBUM - This is a project that we will work on in December.  It is part of our Open Court Heritage reading unit.  Students were given a handout (green) with details and a rubric.  Much of the project will be done in class, but students will also need home support.  The first assignment is the personal crest, and students were given a handout with directions and a practice copy.

SOCIAL STUDIES - Students should be studying the 50 state capitals.  The "first try" test will be Wed., 12/16.
